About the Role
Working within the membership department, you will be joining the ceremonial team who are responsible for organising diploma ceremonies both in Edinburgh and internationally.
Reporting to the Ceremonial Manager, and supervised by the Ceremonial Events Producer, the Ceremonial Administrator will support the team with the smooth running of ceremonies both in the UK and overseas. They will maintain the database of those who would like to attend a Diploma Ceremony and will book people onto each ceremony. They will communicate with each diplomate to ensure that they have all the guest tickets and other information they need to enjoy their celebration. On the day they will be part of the overall ceremonial team helping to ensure that the day runs smoothly. They will support the Ceremonial Events Producer with their ceremonial duties.
The Ceremonial Administrator will have excellent attention to detail. They will be friendly and approachable and be dedicated to ensuring our members have an enjoyable time at the ceremony. They will be comfortable supporting the Office Bearers as they undertake their ceremonial roles.

Experience/Qualifications/Key Skills
This is a superb opportunity for an individual who is confident, methodical, organised and conscientious.
Educated to a minimum level of Advanced Higher/ A Level (or equivalent) you will have proven administrative, secretarial and database experience.
You will have excellent communication and team working skills. You will be a proficient user of the MS Office suite and have the ability to prioritise your workload with minimum supervision. A high level of professionalism and diplomacy is required for the role as is a willingness to take on new challenges and be receptive to change.
Good administrative skills with a well-developed ability to time and task manage, coupled with the ability to deliver competing objectives, is essential. You will posses good problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and implement solutions using initiative. A high level of resilience and the ability to operate discreetly, with tact, and the exercise good judgement will be required.
