The Project Management and Improvement Office is an ever-growing and developing team that ensures the high-quality delivery of projects, programmes, and change initiatives. You will be joining a well-established team that strives to be the centre of excellence; providing targeted support, management, and expertise to the projects and change initiatives across the organisation.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an individual with a strong understanding and appreciation of both project and change management, with experience of supporting/managing projects and change initiatives of various size and complexity. You will be joining a strong and dedicated team of individuals with a passion for continuously improving, meaning it is important that you share our outlook of striving for excellence. Due to the fast-paced environment it is important that you are flexible in the ability to work with different services and individuals on a day-to-day basis.



It is important that you are able to appreciate the environment of local government, with the unique governance arrangements we operate within and to prioritise a customer-focused approach in all aspects of our work.



Further attributes we are looking for include:


Required to have an Association of Project Management PFQ or Prince 2 Foundation qualification It is desirable to have a Change Foundation Certifications (APMQ) Experience in supporting the management of varied projects and change initiatives, as well as Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and collaborate with stakeholders Flexibility to adapt to evolving environments and requirements. Experience with key IT systems such as the M365 suite, including the addition of Microsoft Projects. The ability to collect and manipulate data in order to report effectively on the pressures of change. A passion for innovation and commitment to continuous improvement. A strong orientation of being customer focused.
