Role Overview



As a

Change & Learning Consultant

, you will play a key role in driving meaningful change across

UK policing

, supporting the adoption of new technology through high-quality

training and learning interventions

. This is a hands-on role where your work will directly enable new ways of working and improved operational outcomes.


You will contribute to the

design and delivery of innovative, user-focused training

, applying learning psychology and change principles to help officers and staff build confidence with new systems. Working closely with experienced consultants and policing stakeholders, you will support

training needs analysis

, develop engaging learning materials, and deliver training that enables real-world impact.


This role offers the opportunity to develop your consulting, facilitation, and change management capability while contributing to a major transformation programme supporting improved outcomes for communities across the UK.


Key Responsibilities



You will support the delivery of the training workstream within a wider change management approach, helping users adopt new technology and new ways of working. Responsibilities will include:


Supporting the delivery of the

training workstream

within a structured change management approach Assisting with

learning needs analysis

, gathering information from stakeholders, change impact assessments and project documentation Supporting the development of

role-based training materials

, including: + Slide decks
+ Facilitator guides
+ Job aids and quick reference guides
+ eLearning content
Translating

process changes, system functionality and new ways of working

into clear and practical training content Supporting the identification of

current vs desired behaviours

, ensuring these are reflected in training objectives and learning activities Coordinating and supporting the delivery of training sessions, including: + Logistics and scheduling
+ Participant communications
+ Session follow-ups
Gathering and documenting

training feedback

, learner questions and adoption insights to support continuous improvement Escalating training-related risks, issues or resistance indicators to senior change or training leads Supporting post-training reinforcement activities (e.g., refresher sessions, job aids and performance support materials) Using standardised change and learning tools, templates and methodologies Building knowledge of

change management and learning best practices

through project experience, coaching and self-development

Experience



Minimum

2 years' experience

in: + Change management consulting

and/or


+ Learning & Development / training coordination roles
Exposure to: + Technology implementations
+ Process change
+ Workplace transformation programmes
Understanding of core change management principles, with experience applying foundational frameworks such as: +

ADKAR


+

Prosci


+

Kotter



Skills



Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to simplify complex information into clear and practical content Good facilitation and presentation skills Strong organisation and attention to detail Confidence working with a range of stakeholders in operational environments

Qualifications



AET Level 3

(desirable) + If not already held, training will be provided to obtain AET

Security Clearance Requirements



This role requires candidates to hold (or be eligible to obtain) the following clearances:


NPPV2 - Metropolitan Police OR NPPV3 + SC - Warwickshire Police


Candidates without existing clearance must be eligible and willing to undergo vetting before joining.

Standard business hours Expected to be on client site (typically central London)

2-3 days per week


Training Delivery Phase



Required to attend client sites across London

daily

Consultants will work

shift rotation

BIP will cover

7 days per week

, between

06:00-23:00

+ Training will take place between

07:00-22:00


* Consultants will work

40 hours per week

, spread across the hours above on a shift rotation basis.
