The

Channel Sales Executive

will be responsible for managing the relationship with existing Promotional customers and opening new Accounts in New Channels such as Farm Shops and Allotments for Mr Fothergill's Seeds Ltd in the UK. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to create, align and execute plans that drive sales and profitability with existing customers whilst also identifying new business opportunities in line with the company's growth strategy.

Core Responsibilities:



Sales Strategy:

Collaborate with internal teams (Commercial Leadership, Trade Marketing & Supply Chain) to define, design, develop and implement effective sales strategies for each Channel.

Identify Farm Shop Industry Events / Associations & Wholesalers

: and reach out to access databases or similar to share the incremental sales and profit opportunity for placing Seeds in their outlets.

Identify new routes to Allotments:

Identify Agricultural / Allotment wholesalers or other associations to provide a cost-efficient way to unlock the opportunity for Fothergill's seeds in Allotments across the UK.

Leverage databases & email marketing & B2B Portal:

to share Fothergill's proposition with prospective customers, gaining initial engagement, setting them up as new customers and gaining first orders.

Liaise with UK Head of Field Sales & Team:

To leverage learning and scale activities proven by this role.

Reach out to all existing Fothergill's Customers:

Proactively engage with each Promotion Customer to understand their requirements and match this to Fothergill's products, taking into account target margin aspirations for each customer. Develop and nurture long-term relationships as the primary contact.

Partner with Chief Commercial Officer to create, own and manage Plans for each Customer:

Build and share a forecast for each customer and feed this demand into the Promotion Demand Plan through the demand planning process and the creation of specific work orders for bespoke activity that meets sales and profit thresholds.

Relationship Building:

Build and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders through proactive, clear communication against aligned expectations and lead-times, surfacing issues early, barrier busting and finding solutions to challenges.

Record Keeping:

Ensure accurate records of account activities, sales performance, and customer interactions are maintained. Regularly update CRM systems with detailed information to track progress.

We are looking for someone who

is an ambitious salesperson with experience in direct sales looking to grow your career in a fast-paced environment. You will relish the opportunity to learn from experienced commercial leaders and and demonstrates:

Proven experience in new business selling in a Territory Manager role or similar, building trust with customers over time The ability to manage multiple customer relationships and deliver commercial results Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly Commercial acumen Proficiency in Microsoft Office; accurate record-keeping is essential Ability to travel regularly in the UK Knowledge or experience of horticulture is a distinct benefit

Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year
