Shopmobility Highland are a charity with its main office in Inverness with a small office in Dingwall. We provide mobility aids to persons of all ages with long and short term mobility problems. The mobility aids consist of mobility scooters, powered wheel chairs, manual wheelchairs and rollators. We also operate a minibus from both Inverness and Dingwall which are driven by our volunteers. The minibuses take persons with mobility problems from their homes to Inverness for a shopping trip and then back home.
We are currently looking to recruit a staff member on a 6 month contract working 7 hours per week. However there will be occasions when additional hours will be available; during busy periods, covering holidays and sickness. This will involve occasional Saturday work.
The successful applicant will be expected to carry out duties mainly in the Inverness office but may be required in Dingwall occasionally. The person must have a pleasant manner and be able to display tolerance towards all persons at all times.
The person must have a clean drivers licence with the authorisation to drive vehicles in category D1 ("not for profit organisation"). The person will partake in the MiDAS scheme.
This will be a varied and rewarding position working within a relaxed atmosphere.
The successful applicant will require to participate in the PVG scheme.
