Fundraiser
to help secure the resources we need to support our clients and expand our impact.
Role Summary
As our Fundraiser, you will play a vital role in sustaining and growing our services by developing and delivering effective fundraising strategies. You will lead on identifying, cultivating, and managing relationships with donors, trusts, foundations, and community supporters. Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a fundraising strategy aligned with the centre's mission and financial needs.
Identify and apply to relevant trusts, foundations, and grant-making bodies.
Build and maintain relationships with individual donors, supporters, and community groups.
Organise occasional fundraising events and community campaigns.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather impact data and stories for fundraising communications.
Provide regular reports on fundraising performance and projections.
Keep informed of sector trends and funding opportunities relevant to mental health and community wellbeing.
Utilise software such as Raiser's Edge for tracking donations, managing donor information, and generating reports.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
Proven experience in fundraising, including grant applications and donor relationship management.
Proficiency in using Raiser's Edge or similar fundraising software is highly desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Strong organisational and project management skills.
Commitment to inclusion, diversity, and community values.
Comfortable working in a hybrid role, including occasional office visits.
Desirable Criteria
Knowledge or experience of the mental health sector, particularly community-based services.
Understanding of the challenges faced by individuals accessing low-cost or subsidised counselling.
Experience working within or fundraising for small charities or grassroots organisations.
Familiarity with digital fundraising tools and platforms.
