Background



The Group the Musical is a community theatre academy in Shrewsbury (UK) with registered charitable status. It offers an inclusive theatre and performance academy for adults and young people with autism and other disabilities in Shrewsbury and the local community. We are housed within the Impact Dance Studios in the Sundorne area of Shrewsbury, and are fortunate to benefit from fantastic facilities for teaching and delivering drama, music and dance and support for our service users and their needs.

The charity manager will have overall responsibility for the oversees the effective day-to-day running of the organisation and leadership of the production team. We particularly would like to recruit somebody who is familiar with and sympathetic towards people with autism and other disabilities, who can share our vision and support all our service users to work towards being the best that they can be. Rehearsals take place twice per week in our centre at the Impact Studios, Sundorne.

Responsibilities



Oversight of the effective weekly running of the organisation. Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our organisation's goals and objectives. Manage relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Oversee fundraising activities and be present and represent the organisation at key events in public. Promote positive public to enhance the organisation's profile within the community. Support team members

Requirements and characteristics



The candidate should have GCSE English and Mathematics at grade C/4 or above or equivalent The candidate should have knowledge of Word Processing and spreadsheet software Demonstrated success in fundraising initiatives and customer service excellence. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse audiences. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Strong organisational skills
