Duties

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting principles. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments. Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and balance sheets to ensure accuracy. Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft for efficient financial management. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing analytical support to senior management. Mentor junior staff members, fostering their professional development within the finance department. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards, conducting audits as necessary. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that drive business strategy.

Skills

Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft is essential. Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to mentor and guide junior team members effectively. Knowledge of financial accounting standards and regulations. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex financial information clearly.
