Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, along with supervisory experience. This role involves assisting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food safety, and delivering exceptional dining experiences. The Assistant Chef will play a crucial role in team management and will be instrumental in maintaining a harmonious and efficient kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness. Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for dishes. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Maintain a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and collaboration. Georgian food preparation training will be provided.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of food preparation techniques. Supervisory experience, demonstrating effective team management abilities. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others. Previous experience in food production is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate teamwork. Pay: 12.21-12.50 per hour
