We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing food production and preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. This role requires strong leadership skills, as you will be supervising kitchen staff and coordinating activities to maintain an efficient and harmonious kitchen environment.
Duties
Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among all staff members.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations.
Assist in menu planning, including the development of new recipes and seasonal offerings.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and operational procedures.
Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good working order and report any issues promptly.
Handle any customer feedback or complaints regarding food quality or service effectively.
Skills
Proven leadership abilities with experience in a restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of food production techniques and culinary arts.
Proficient in food preparation methods, including cooking, baking, and plating.
Familiarity with kitchen operations and the ability to supervise staff effectively.
Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene standards.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management.
A passion for cooking and a desire to help others develop their culinary skills.
