Overview

We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our team. We are a small, privately owned Dance Studio / Cafe / Bar in Alsager. Initially we are looking for a person with appropriate experience who can be responsible for producing food for our events, but we envisage that this will become a permanent part-time role in 2026.

Initially, the future role is likely to involve the provision of lunches for our customers, visitors and staff but we do have plans to increase and develop the wider offering of our Cafe and Bar. This is a genuinely excellent opportunity for the right person to come and join a small team and to work with us in the development of our Cafe / Bar with the objective of enhancing our overall business offering.

Responsibilities

Ensure efficient food production and service. Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and allergen controls, in compliance with legislation. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely procurement of ingredients and kitchen supplies. Monitor inventory levels and control food costs through effective stock management. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times. Collaborate with other team members to ensure the highest standards of customer service.

Qualifications

Culinary knowledge with expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation. The ability to work unsupervised and within an existing team within a small local business. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards. Excellent organizational skills Experience of working within a similar setting. A passion for culinary arts and delivering outstanding customer service.

Pay: From 13.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 15 per week
