Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and present authentic
desi dishes
including biryani, pulao, kebabs, curries, and grilled items.
Ensure all food is prepared according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and portion control.
Manage kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
Monitor food stock, order supplies, and minimize waste.
Ensure compliance with
food hygiene, safety, and sanitation regulations
.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
Innovate and contribute new dish ideas for menu development.
Train and guide junior kitchen staff when required.
Requirements
Proven experience as a
Desi Chef / Cook
in a restaurant, catering service, or hotel.
Strong knowledge of South Asian spices, recipes, and cooking methods.
Ability to prepare large quantities of food while maintaining quality.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Understanding of
food hygiene and kitchen safety standards
