Summary

We are seeking a talented Chef to join our team at 1st Steps Day Nursery in Great Britain. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs of our young children while fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere. Your culinary expertise will play a vital role in supporting our commitment to high-quality early childhood education.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook healthy, balanced meals for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations. Create menus that cater to the dietary requirements of children. Collaborate with nursery staff to promote healthy eating habits among children. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area. Supervise kitchen staff and assist in training new team members. Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role, preferably in a childcare or educational setting. Strong knowledge of food preparation and hygiene standards. Excellent culinary skills with an ability to create nutritious meals for young children. Leadership skills to manage kitchen effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: 12.21-12.40 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
