We are looking for a chef / cook to work weekdays Monday - Friday to cover lunch and early evening service.
You should be creative and able to present new interesting ideas for the team when preparing new menus.
Ideally you will have a minimum of two years experience.
Key responsibilities
Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes
Develop new dishes and menus
Responsibility to produce consistently high standard of food prepared in the kitchen
Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
Adhere to and maintain an excellent hygienic working environment, meeting all health and safety legislation
Excellent cooking skills and previous relevant experience
Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
Excellent time management abilities
Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
Clean PPE, Knives and Safety Shoes (essential)
Qualifications
- Food preparation and cooking skills
- Culinary experience in a kitchen environment
- Strong leadership and hospitality skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices
- Experience in supervising and managing teams
- Previous restaurant experience and serving skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 13.50-15.00 per hour
