Responsibilities
Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food production
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene practices and allergen controls
Oversee food inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste
Develop new recipes and menu items in collaboration with management
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and ensure compliance with health regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Monitor food presentation and portion control to uphold brand standards
Qualifications
Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment
Supervising experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
Strong understanding of food safety standards and regulations
Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
Previous experience in restaurant service or hospitality is highly desirable
