About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Chef de Commis (Line Cook) to join our
dynamic kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring chef to develop
their culinary skills in a fast-paced cafe environment whilst working alongside
experienced professionals.
As a Commis Chef, you will play a vital role in our kitchen operations, supporting food
preparation, maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene, and contributing to the
overall success of our service.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Operations & Food Preparation
Prepare food according to established recipes, portioning standards, and
presentation guidelines
Maintain consistent high standards of taste, quality, and presentation in every dish
Contribute to menu development through constructive feedback on dishes and
preparation techniques
Work collaboratively with kitchen team members to ensure efficient service
delivery
Teamwork & Professional Development
Work under the guidance of the Head Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Support colleagues and assist with training new team members when required
Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members and other
departments
Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a productive kitchen environment
Be open to learning and development opportunities
Stock & Ingredient Management
Use ingredients responsibly and follow portion control measures
Assist with stock rotation and organisation to prevent spoilage and waste
Alert the Head Chef to low stock levels or ingredient quality issues

Pay: 26,000.00-30,000.00 per year
