Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef De Partie & Commis Chef to join our multi-award winning restaurant at the Walled City Brewery.

We are now operating on a 4 on/3 off work schedule

. You will play a vital role in the food preparation and meal preparation process, ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. You will work in a fast-paced restaurant environment, collaborating with other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Assist in the organisation of the kitchen and maintain cleanliness throughout the cooking area. Help with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and notifying management of any shortages. Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Participate in daily prep work, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and preparing sauces. Maintain equipment and utensils in good working condition, reporting any maintenance issues as necessary. Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. A passion for food preparation and cooking, with a willingness to learn new skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative when required. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay: 24,457.00-30,082.00 per year
