We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de partie to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Chef de Partie, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality meals to our guests.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meal preparation, ensuring freshness and quality.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and cooking equipment.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all meals prepared.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Help with inventory management, including tracking stock levels and reporting shortages.
Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Requirements
Proven experience in a restaurant or similar culinary environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high standards of quality.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
