As a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie you will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation, while also being part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
From locals to large tour groups, everyday is varied with opportunities to learn and share experience.
A meal is provided for shifts over 6 hour as well as draught soft drinks and an equal share of the tips.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all areas are tidy and hygienic.
Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management, reporting any shortages or issues.
Participate in menu development by providing feedback on dishes and suggesting improvements.
Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and kitchen protocols.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen hygiene standards.
Proficient in various cooking techniques, including grilling, sauteing, and baking.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy restaurant environment.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
A passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the kitchen team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
