Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food and possess a strong understanding of meal preparation and food safety practices. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality dishes to our guests in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities



Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in the preparation of ingredients and maintain an organised kitchen workspace. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager. Maintain cleanliness of cooking stations, utensils, and equipment throughout the shift. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Participate in menu planning and suggest improvements based on customer feedback.

Skills



Proficient in meal preparation techniques with a solid understanding of culinary practices. Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality. Capability to multitask effectively during peak service times while maintaining high standards. A positive attitude towards learning new skills and adapting to changing menus or procedures.
