We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef De Partie to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring that each dish meets our exceptional standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
- Assist in the organisation of kitchen operations, including meal preparation and food preparation tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including utensils, equipment, and work surfaces.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting with ordering as necessary.
- Help train new kitchen staff in cooking techniques and safety protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred
- Familiarity with culinary techniques and food preparation methods is advantageous.
- Understanding of food safety practices and regulations is essential for maintaining a safe working environment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in meal preparation.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members in a busy kitchen environment.
