We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. Our cuisine is very influenced by Spanish cuisine without forgetting traditional English cuisine. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and a commitment to food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish is prepared to the highest standards while maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times to prevent contamination. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.

Skills

Proficient in food preparation techniques with a solid understanding of culinary practices. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations within a restaurant setting. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. A keen eye for detail in meal presentation and quality control. Flexibility to adapt to changing menus or special dietary requests as required.
