We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing high-quality meals in a timely manner. Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards. Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Follow proper food handling techniques to minimise waste and ensure quality control. Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.

Skills

Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations to maintain a safe kitchen environment. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced setting. A passion for food preparation and creativity in meal presentation is highly valued.
