Hourly Pay Rate:
$16.00 - $17.00
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chef, Sous Chef, or Chef de Partie in a professional kitchen.
Strong communication skills to work effectively with kitchen staff and care home teams.
Compassionate approach to preparing meals that support the health and well-being of residents.
Familiarity with dietary requirements and food safety regulations, especially in healthcare settings.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Attention to detail in preparing meals and maintaining records of dietary needs.
Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and cook nutritious meals tailored to the dietary needs of residents.
Work closely with care staff to ensure meals meet individual health requirements and preferences.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
Monitor food supplies and place orders as needed to ensure consistent meal service.
Support menu planning and contribute to seasonal or special event meals.
Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff when applicable.
Document food temperatures, allergies, and resident feedback as required.
