We are seeking a dedicated and skilled person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. You will play a crucial role in meal preparation and food safety, ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards. This position requires a collaborative spirit and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
Prepare and cook meals according to specified recipes and menus.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and marinating.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all cooking areas are tidy and hygienic.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all meals are safe for consumption.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setting up workstations and cleaning down after service.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential
Familiarity with food safety standards
A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new cooking methods
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Strong communication skills
