Job Description
The Golden Pheasant, Burford, Oxfordshire is about to undergo a complete refurbishment and when complete we will emerge as one of the Cotswolds finest inns. We are looking for a creative and ambitious Chef de Partie to join to our team of chefs.
We have a short menu sourced from local producers with a focus on seasonality and totally fresh produce. Candidates will have gained at least 3 years experience working in a similar establishment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times. Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods. Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols.
Experience
Previous experience as a chef in a similar kitchen environment is preferred. Knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and meal presentation. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A passion for cooking and a desire to continually improve culinary skills.
