The Jackdaw is a historic pub on the A260 between Canterbury and Folkestone. We have a busy restaurant serving traditional, quality pub food. The kitchen environment is fast paced and friendly. Our Head Chef has years of experience and specialises in 'Free From' dishes and is always willing to share his vast culinery knowledge.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, FULL TIME Chef de Partie to join our team in a busy pub restaurant setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing delicious dishes while maintaining high food safety standards.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards

- Assist with food preparation and ensure ingredients are fresh and stored correctly

- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment

- Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver excellent service

- Follow proper food handling procedures and comply with health and safety regulations

Skills

- Proficiency in food safety practices

- Experience in meal preparation in a fast-paced kitchen environment

- Knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen equipment operation

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy restaurant setting

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting. Strong culinary skills with a focus on meal preparation and presentation. Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
