The Role:

As a Chef de Partie at The Welsh House, Carmarthen, you'll work alongside our talented team of chefs to create dishes that showcase the best of Welsh ingredients. Reporting to the Head Chef, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting in the creation and execution of menus that celebrate Welsh cuisine, using locally sourced ingredients. Supporting the kitchen team in food preparation, cooking, and plating to maintain quality and consistency. Learning and developing culinary skills under the guidance of experienced chefs. Ensuring kitchen hygiene and safety standards are maintained at all times. Contributing ideas and suggestions for menu development and improvement. Collaborating with colleagues to deliver seamless service and uphold our reputation for exceptional food and hospitality.
Preferred Qualifications:

While not mandatory, the following attributes would be advantageous:

Passion for Welsh cuisine and culture Previous experience in a kitchen environment, either professionally or as part of culinary training. Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices. Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions effectively. Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic culinary setting.
