We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and culinary arts, with experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality dishes to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, including utensils and equipment.
Assist in the management of kitchen inventory, including ordering and stock rotation.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
Qualifications
Proven experience in food preparation within a culinary or restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
Leadership qualities with experience in supervising or managing kitchen staff preferred.
A passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative when required.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
