The Ring of Bells in Cheriton Fitzpaine has been trading for 11 years under the same ownership. We are looking for a committed chef to join our team.

With a brand new kitchen installed this year, we are working with state of the art equipment, which is a real treat! Our food is inventive and consistently delicious, our service is friendly and professional. We want you to have a good time when eating with us.

We are situated in a beautiful location, only 20 minutes from Exeter, 15 from Tiverton & 10 from Crediton.

We work with seasonal ingredients, the menu changes weekly, we encourage creativity.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards. Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food is served. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed. Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance culinary skills.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant setting. Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety practices. Previous culinary experience is highly desirable, along with familiarity with various cooking techniques. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. A passion for serving quality meals and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
