We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for ensuring that meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications.
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are presented beautifully and served promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety standards at all times.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods.
Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.
Participate in the training of new kitchen staff, sharing culinary techniques and best practices.
Keep workstations clean and sanitised, following health regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn new cooking methods or cuisines.
