Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and that our guests receive high-quality meals in a timely manner.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service during busy periods. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen manager. Participate in regular training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety regulations, and meal preparation processes. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. A team player with good communication skills who can collaborate effectively with others in the kitchen. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
