ACCOUNTABILITIES:
To report for duty on time and in the correct uniform.
To prepare and produce food for the area which you are assigned and to the agreed standards in conjunction with the other chefs.
To minimise wastage.
To ensure all necessary mis-en-place are ready prior to service.
To follow rigidly and observe all hygiene regulations.
To carryout Customer Care Policy.
To ensure that the guests needs and requirements are met.
To ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming.
MISCELLANEOUS
To ensure that all hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times and all areas both front and back of house, are maintained at a consistently high level of cleanliness.
To comply with statutory and legal requirements for Health & Safety, Fire, Hygiene, Licensing and Employment.
To read, understand and carry out your responsibilities as defined in the Health and Safety Statement and Staff Handbook.
Job Duties:
Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
Follow recipes and presentation specifications
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards
Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment
Restock items as needed throughout the shift
Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards
Additional Duties:
Recording food temperatures
Qualifications
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
Strong culinary skills with a focus on food safety and hygiene, along with working with HACCAP.
Background in hospitality and restaurant operations
Excellent team management skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
Familiarity with food production processes and serving techniques
