Cafe Eataliano is looking for a Chef to join our team in Ml3 0.
The Chef is responsible for preparing food to the exact chef's specifications and in the time frame specified by the menu.
The Chef will assist the team in maintaining a clean and safe working environment, as well as follow all health and safety standards.
Duties:
Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
Answer, report and follow head chef's instructions.
Clean up kitchen area prep area, prep workstations and equipment when directed by executive chef.
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
Preform all kitchen duties safely and in accordance with the company's safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Manage daily prep list and ensure that all required dishes are prepared before service time.
Manage inventory and keep detailed records of kitchen supplies and equipment.
Check food quality (e.g. temperature) and report any discrepancies to culinary director or manager.
Prepare take-out orders for guests when necessary.
Be familiar with kitchen equipment and have kitchen staff trained in their use (e.g. electric knives, platters of food)
Check food quality according to established standards of practice and sanitation (e.g. proper preparation temperature).
Ensure that proper sanitation procedures are followed at all times.
Assist in maintaining a clean and safe working environment in the kitchen area (e.g. sweeping the floor, mopping the floor etc.).
Perform other duties as assigned by executive chef (e.g. opening and closing the kitchen, cleaning dishes etc.).

Pay: 13.50-14.50 per hour
