We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our vibrant kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in food preparation and meal assembly, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. You will work closely with your kitchen team to create delicious meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment while adhering to food safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained at all times.
Collaborate with fellow kitchen team to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Help train new kitchen team on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant environment is preferred.
Strong culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and cooking.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
