We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests. A strong understanding of food safety and culinary techniques is essential for this position.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
Assist in food preparation and meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety practices.
Participate in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
