Job Summary

The Three Stags is a traditional gastropub located in the heart of Kennington serving British classics with a changing seasonal menu. We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our team . The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that high standards of food preparation and presentation are maintained. This position requires a strong background in culinary arts, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to food safety and quality.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations Oversee food preparation, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Skills

Strong culinary skills with experience in a professional kitchen environment. Proficiency in food preparation techniques and knowledge of various cooking methods with fresh food. Excellent leadership abilities, with experience supervising kitchen staff. In-depth understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate teamwork within the kitchen. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests.
