Duties
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the menu and customer preferences.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and timely service.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment.
Develop new recipes and menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and trends.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor kitchen equipment for proper functioning and arrange repairs as needed.
Skills
Proven experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting, with a strong understanding of culinary techniques.
Proficiency in food preparation and production processes, with an emphasis on quality control.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen environment.
Strong leadership abilities to effectively manage a diverse team of cooks and kitchen staff.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with team members and management.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
