Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in the supervision of kitchen staff, ensuring that all team members are performing their duties effectively. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including food storage areas. Monitor food production processes to ensure quality and adherence to food safety regulations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Participate in inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed. Assist with menu planning and development, providing input based on seasonal ingredients.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills and the ability to supervise junior staff members. A passion for cooking and a desire to create exceptional dining experiences for guests. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
