We are seeking a dedicated and talented Junior & Senior Chef de Parties to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidates will be motivated individuals with a genuine passion for food, working under the Head Chef or Sous Chef, the Chef de Parties will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of their assigned station.
We are providing this position with flexible working hours to assist in effective time management, recognising the significance of maintaining a healthy work life balance. Additionally, we're open to discussing the potential of transitioning to a 4 day work week, aimed at enhancing productivity, promoting work life balance and overall job satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Food preparation: prepare and cook high quality dishes according to our standards and recipes.
2. Station management: to oversee and manage a designated section of the kitchen.
3. Quality control: Maintain consistency in food presentation, portion size, and taste.
4. Stock management: Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, and requisition as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
5. Team collaboration: work closely with other members of the kitchen team to ensure smooth workflow and timely service.
6. Sanitation and hygiene: adhere to strict sanitation standards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
7. Training: assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to established standards and procedures.
8. Menu development: collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef in developing new menu items and specials.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role, with a strong foundation in culinary techniques and food preparation. Or within a junior level but are wanting to move to the next level.
Ability to innovate and contribute ideas to menu development and presentation.
Excellent time management and organisational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced kitchen environment.
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation and presentation.
Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards, with commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen.
Experience
Previous experience working in a professional kitchen, preferably in a similar role as a Chef de Partie.
