We are looking for a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at a vibrant high-street hotel with an all-day dining restaurant. As Chef de Partie, you will work alongside a dedicated kitchen brigade to deliver exceptional food that delights our guests from breakfast through to dinner. You will be responsible for a designated section, ensuring the smooth and efficient preparation and cooking of dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:



Food Preparation & Cooking:

Oversee and participate in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to the menu, ensuring consistency and quality at all times.

Section Management:

Take charge of a specific section within the kitchen, whether it's the grill, pastry, larder, or sauce section, ensuring efficient operation.

Quality Control:

Ensure all dishes are cooked and presented to the highest standards, maintaining portion control and consistency.

Menu Execution:

Follow and execute the restaurant's all-day dining menu, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and bar snacks.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.

Health & Safety Compliance:

Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards and cleanliness, to maintain a safe working environment.

Stock Management:

Assist with stock rotation, inventory checks, and managing food orders to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked and organised.

Training & Mentoring:

Support and mentor junior kitchen staff, sharing knowledge and techniques to enhance the overall performance of the team.

Key Requirements:



Experience:

Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role within a fast-paced, high-volume environment is essential.

Skills:

Strong cooking skills with a thorough knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques. Experience in an all-day dining or hotel environment is advantageous.

Passion for Food:

A genuine passion for food and delivering excellent dining experiences for guests.

Flexibility:

Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings. Shifts will be scheduled for 5 days out of 7.

Team Player:

Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team, with strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Time Management:

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy kitchen environment.

Health & Safety Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of food hygiene standards and health and safety regulations.

Creativity:

A flair for presenting and preparing high-quality, visually appealing dishes.

Adaptability:

Able to work across different sections of the kitchen, depending on the needs of the team.
