/Position Overview:
As Chef de Partie at Herd, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our bespoke burger restaurant. You will work closely with the Head and Sous Chefs to uphold our standards of excellence in cleanliness, food quality, professional conduct. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success and growth of a new dynamic culinary establishment. Our restaurant is award winning, and we have ambitions for future expansion in and out of the county, and as such are in a position to offer long term career prospects for the right applicants. We're not just any 'burger joint'. We utilise a wealth of knowledge from our successful restaurant industry careers and apply this mindset to Herd. This means we make everything in house, using proper chef techniques and recipes usually found in the higher end of the industry. And above all, we have fun doing it.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
Assist the senior chefs in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, kitchen management, preparing .
Customer Experience:
Uphold our commitment to delivering exceptional service by engaging with guests, addressing inquiries or concerns, and ensuring their dining experience exceeds expectations.
Team Development:
Support junior kitchen staff to cultivate a positive work environment, foster teamwork, and uphold company values. Provide guidance and coaching to enhance performance and promote professional growth.
Quality Control:
Maintain rigorous standards for food quality, presentation, and safety. Monitor kitchen processes and service protocols to ensure consistency and adherence to established procedures.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and efficiency enhancements.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role within the restaurant industry, preferably in a fast-paced, casual dining environment.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food preparation and inventory management,
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
