We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de partie to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a CDP, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing high-quality meals and maintaining food safety standards. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about culinary arts and thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This will be a minimum 25 hours each week, with the flexibility of holiday cover which would allow for up to 40-45 hours in a week. Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
Monitor food inventory levels and assist with stock rotation to minimise waste.
Help develop new menu items and contribute creative ideas for meal preparation.
Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
A genuine passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in meal preparation.
