The recently opened "Tap-In" at St Cuthbert Golf Club are seeking a skilled and passionate chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. Offering a great work/life balance as food is served until 7pm daily.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, preparing and cooking hot and cold starters, a basic knowledge of pastry would be an advantage but not essential and a commitment to food safety and quality.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food safety regulations are followed, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including equipment and workstations.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.
Experience
Previous experience as a chef/CDP or aspirations to become one
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation.
Familiarity with various cooking techniques and equipment used in a professional kitchen.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
A passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the restaurant industry.
