Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in the daily food preparation tasks, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and ready for use. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including workstations and cooking equipment. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. Participate in the training of new kitchen staff as required. Assist with menu development by providing feedback on new dishes and techniques.

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation or as a cook in a restaurant setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. A genuine passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.50-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
