Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring that all food safety standards are adhered to. Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation. Monitor food stock levels and assist in inventory management as needed. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new culinary skills. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by the restaurant's schedule.
