We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation and food safety, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. This position requires a commitment to maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment while working efficiently under pressure.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, including proper handling, storage, and preparation of ingredients. Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meal service, including chopping, marinating, and cooking. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed. Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A passion for cooking and a willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
