We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie to join our culinary team in a 2 AA Rosette kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Chef de Partie, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Duties
Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the restaurant's menu and specifications.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including meats, ?sh, produce, soups & sauces (including butchery and classical techniques).
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all food safety standards are adhered to.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and other cooking appliances.
Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
Follow recipes accurately while being open to suggestions for menu improvements or specials.
Ensure proper storage of food items to prevent spoilage and waste.
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is required.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
A genuine passion for cooking and creating delicious meals for guests.
Must be able to drive and have own private transport as there is NO public transport nearby.
