We are seeking a talented live in or live out experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. A background in hospitality and restaurant environments is preferred, along with proven leadership skills.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to health and safety regulations
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative team environment
Manage food production processes to meet customer demand while maintaining quality control
Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety standards
Serve meals to guests when required, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction
Qualifications
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Experience in food production and culinary arts, with a flair for creativity in menu development
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment
Previous experience in hospitality or serving roles is advantageous but not essential; a passion for customer service is vital
