We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie/Sous Chef to join our the team of Ida Restaurant, winner of the 2025 Good Food Guide's "Best Local London Restaurant." The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety. You will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional meals to our guests while working in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils
Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Assist in meal preparation for special events or catering services as required
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the kitchen manager
Experience
Previous experience in an Italian kitchen preferable
Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques
Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations
Experience in meal preparation and serving within a restaurant setting is advantageous
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards
A passion for cooking and creativity in food presentation
Spoken Italian an advantage
